Unbound Voices

Down Syndrome Music Program

Unbound Voices helps children and adults with Down syndrome express who they truly are — through songwriting, singing, and starring in their own music video

'I never thought I could create and share my own songs—now I'm doing it!' – Kianna

The Moment Every Parent Knows

You watch your child light up with something to say — a feeling, a story, a joke — and then you watch the world move on before they can get it out.Not because they have nothing to offer. Because the systems around them were never built for the way they communicate.Therapies focus on correcting. Schools focus on accommodating. No one stops to ask: what does your child actually want to say? That's the gap Unbound Voices was built to fill.

How It Works

Your loved one doesn't perform someone else's song. They build their own — from the ground up.✍️ They write lyrics about what matters to them — their family, their obsessions, their feelings, their world🎤 We work with their voice exactly as it is, using adaptive techniques tailored to their pace and needs🎵 Their words become a fully produced song — real instruments, real production.🎬 They star in their own music video — something they can watch, share, and be proud of for the rest of their lifeThe result isn't just a song. It's proof — to them and everyone around them — that they have something worth saying.

Why This Works When Other Things Haven't

Most programmes try to bring your child up to a standard. Unbound Voices starts from who your child already is.Singing naturally loosens speech. Creating builds identity. Being taken seriously as an artist — not a student, not a patient — changes how a person carries themselves. When your child sees themselves in a music video they made, something shifts. They start to believe what you've known all along.

Who This Is For

Children and adults with Down syndrome who have something to say and need the right space to say it.Families who are tired of programmes that focus on limitations.Anyone who's ever thought: if people could just see who my child really is.

What Families Are Saying

"Sofia is 24. We spent years in speech therapy, occupational therapy, every kind of programme. Nothing gave her what this did. She sang her own song in front of people and didn't look at us once for reassurance. She didn't need to."
— Maria, mother of Karen, age 14
"Kianna has always loved music — she knows countless songs by heart. But when she wrote a song about our family and heard it produced with real instruments, she cried. So did we."
— Ayanna, mother of Kianna, age 26
"Emma used to freeze when strangers spoke to her. She now shows her music skills to anyone who'll listen. Bo didn't just teach her to sing. He taught her she was worth listening to."
— Rebecca, mother of Emma, age 9

FAQ

  • 🎤 My child's speech is hard to understand. Is this still right for them?

  • Yes — especially for them. Singing engages speech differently than talking. Many families see improvements in clarity and confidence that carry over into everyday conversation.

  • 🎤 What if my child struggles to stay focused?

  • Bo structures every lesson around your child's natural rhythms. Sessions are broken into short, engaging segments — music, movement, and creativity keep focus alive without force.

  • 🎤 Will my child feel judged?

  • Never. This isn't a performance class. There are no wrong answers, no comparisons, no pressure. Your child's voice is the standard — the only one that matters here.

  • 🎤 How do lessons work practically?

  • Completely online, from home. Your child works in the environment where they're most themselves.

  • 🎤 My child has never written anything before. Can they still do this?

  • That's where Bo starts. Writing lyrics isn't about grammar or poetry — it's about saying something true. He'll get it out of them.
